The Pettingill family is a family of criminals. Kath Pettingill, her sons Victor Peirce and Trevor Pettingill, Denis Allen, Peter Allen, Lex Peirce, Wendy and Katie Peirce, Jamie Pettingill and Jason Ryan are all members of the family who have been involved, in some way, in the crimes which the family committed. Victor Peirce and Trevor Pettingill faced the murder trial for the Walsh Street shootings of two policemen. Victor’s wife Wendy had stated that Victor and his defendants had previously planned and also committed the murders of the fellow accused. There are now movies and television shows such as the film ‘Animal Kingdom’ and the show ‘Phoenix’ which have been based on the events which involved the family. This family had captivated the public’s interest by being an unsuspected group of criminals as they were all related to each other and also being different and standing out from the other criminals at the time.
